Attempting to Save my Marriage!!!

So for the past month or so my allergies have been REALLY bad. At one point for about a week I had to sleep somewhat sitting up otherwise I would choke on snot. It was gross I'm not going to lie, but I kept telling myself it's not allergies it's a cold from the weather being so up and down lately it gave me a cold. After about the third time I got this alleged cold Justin had had it. He was so frustrated with me because I wouldn't go and get a steroid shot. For the past three years I have gotten one and my allergies are so much better, I mean night and day. So I had waited to make sure that I got a period and for some miracle I wasn't pregnant, story of my life, so that I could go and get the shot. Well I woke up yesterday to a huge ice storm in Texas, which means that everything is shut down and delayed and if you can stay home, stay home. I called the family medical place down the street and asked her to see if it was possible to come in and get treated and get a shot. She said that it shouldn't be a problem, but they would need my records from my past doctor to see that I have gotten this shot for the past three years. No problem right!!! Well the office was closed do to the ice and wouldn't open until 12. So I waited for them to open, called at 12 and they still weren't in. I kind of started getting annoyed because they are only open on Monday's and Wednesday's at this office, and the nurse said that legally they have up to two weeks to get the papers faxed over. I needed to have a signed medical release form as well and this is something that they can only fax over, they can't e-mail it. So I drove to the family medical place filled everything out and crossed my fingers. This medical office was trying to leave by three, because the roads were going to get bad again so I wasn't holding my breath on getting in. I could see the doctor, but it would cost me more money to come back and get the shot. So I went to Walmart to pick up some prescriptions and food shop a little. I got a call and it was the nurse saying they got my paper work and to come by in an hour. I was so excited!!! I went and got the shot and some antibiotics, because I have a sinus infection or bronchitis, and the steroid shot. If anyone has had one of those they hurt, they make your muscles sore and go into spasms. It was so worth it, but buy the end of the night I could breathe and I wasn't coughing a whole bunch of crap up anymore. The bad thing is my back hurt so bad I couldn't fall asleep and then when I finally did I only slept for 3 hours and couldn't fall back asleep. I don't know what my deal is, but I can breathe and my husband isn't disgusted by me anymore.

Happy Birthday Lindsey!!!!!

Happy Birthday to one of the most coolest people I know. I'm so glad that Lindsey has moved to Texas and that we have been able to become such good friends. It's never a dull moment when we are together. We went out last Friday night to have a little Birthday dinner for her and afterwards we couldn't figure out what to do. We drove around for a while and then decided that we would go watch the planes land. I wasn't feeling great, my allergies have been awful, and so I was less than thrilled. I was for sure the party pooper!! Half way there I realized I needed to use the bathroom and I needed to use it now. There is no where to go on the road, so the guys said we could pull over and pee on the side of the road. I was not in the mood for games and found it less than funny and even annoyed that it was just a joke to them. Every bump was awful and I really thought that I was going to pee my pants. So they pull over and said, "OK just use the car to support you and go". It was just that easy, right. Not for me!!! I was annoyed and then I got stage fright and couldn't go. I got back in the car right about the time that Lindsey went running over behind another bush to do the same thing. That's what I love about her, she is always up for the party and she is going to have fun no matter what. She is a great example to me, not just peeing in the bush other reasons too!! I love that she is so close by, and she loves to go shopping with me!!! Having a great shopping buddy is always great!!!!!!!! So this shout out is for Lindsey, Happy Birthday, I love ya!!

Farewell, My Dear Braxten, Farewell!!!

I know that I haven't really said anything about Braxten being here the past two weeks, but he has been and it has been so great. We were so busy that it fells like it's only been two days. He got here the Sunday before Christmas, December 21. The next night we celebrated Christmas with my family.

We had a great night and I finally got to break in my karaoke machine, with other people not by myself. We had a great next couple of days, my Dad got Justin a remote control race car, it is so cool, and it is fast. It can go up to 50MPH, and trust me he has tried.

Then came Christmas morning!!! Braxten was so excited, and even more so that Santa forgot to give Justin and I presents and he was the only one who got one. I guess he was the only one who was good this year.

We had a great Christmas, not with just the things that we received, but being together as a family. We were able to spend Christmas Eve with Ryan and Lindsey and it was great. To be together as family and we played a let ping pong I'm not going to lie!!! Thanks for Dinner Ryan and Lindsey. Christmas Day we went over to Connie and Steve's for dinner and games with all of Justin's cousins. Braxten had a chance to go ride dirt bikes with the boys!!! He said that it was the best day of his life!!!!! The guys all rode dirt bikes, and he rode a little 4 x 4 that Justin and his cousin's all grew up on. They were able to go three times!!!!!! Braxten was in heaven!

Braxten is the greatest. We love having him around and we are so glad and blessed to have him in our lives. Things are not the same when he's not here, although they are always crazy when he is here. I'm thankful that we are able to see him as much as we get to, but very sad that it always has to come to an end. We can't wait to have him come back for more fun and adventure. Christmas is so much fun with Braxten, putting cookies out for Santa, and the excitement on his face when he comes. We love you B and miss you already. Come back soon and we hope next time you can stay longer!

Weight Lose Update!!!

Most of you know that I have been on a diet lately to basically not become a diabetic. The past few months have been really hard, but they have paid off. I started this diet, the beginning of October, and here 3 months later I think I'm looking pretty good.

Santa Delivered!!!!

Well for the last few months, ever since we got the boat, I've been asking for a new camera. Our camera was fine, but it was really slow. We got it about 5 years ago, and it just seems ancient. I started to notice this when we would be out on the boat and I would miss half the pictures because my camera was to slow, and not process the picture fast enough. So this year for Christmas SANTA delivered and I love my new camera!!!!!

He told me that they were all sold out of the camera that I wanted so he didn't know what to get me. I was annoyed that he waited until two days before Christmas, but he did really good this year. He got me my new camera, two new pairs of jeans and two shirts to layer with a necklace to match. He is good, but not that good he had help from the lady at the store, but I do have to say that he did a good job. I had to go back and get a size smaller in the jeans, but that's always good right???

We had Christmas with my family the Monday before because my parents were going out of town. I had used most of the wrapping paper in the house, so my husband used the used wrapping paper and boxes from the night before that were crumpled up in the box to wrap my presents. It makes me laugh every time I think about it. Please excuse my dazed look it was early!

Things that make you feel old........

... so for the past year I have really started to feel old.
1. I got a Christmas card today of a little girl that I used to babysit for and she is now in HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I first started babysitting her she was like 18 months or close to 2. Then I went to visit one of my families that I first started nannying for and the oldest girl, who was nine when I first started watching them, is a senior in high school.
2. When you are listening to the radio and some of the songs are now just noise to you and you have to change the station. To my defense it is mostly the heavy medal stuff Justin listens to sometimes, but still.
3. That a lot of the fashions that were around when I was a young are back in style, and since I don't wear them I'm out of style.
4. When you can't stay up past midnight anymore without being grumpy or having a nap earlier in the day because you know that I was going to stay up late.
5. When you think back when I was in school gas was only $.89!

I'm grateful that I have found a lovely wonderful husband who works hard for our money!! Hard for the money, sorry I broke out into a little song there, but I hope that I have children before my eggs dry up!!! I know I'm not that old, but sure do feel like it.
