Good Photographers

So a while ago we went to Utah and got awful pics. I called her and she really didn't care that we didn't like the pictures and said that any photo lab would/could fix the pictures we didn't like. Whatever, her mom is on hospice and she was out of town with her, so I cut my losses and decided that she needed the money more than I did. On a good note, when my family was here for Halloween, we got some family photos done and I love them. One of the women that I was in in Young Womens with took them, and she has some amazing talent. I love her eye for a good picture is keen, anyone who lives in this area should really use her for your family photos.

Montage of all the good pics>
Individuals of my niece and nephew. I love them Jenna is a little model in the making.
For some reason I couldn't get the one of my niece Paige uploaded but she is in a tree with all the fall colors, it is so cute.
Thank goodness for good Photographers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Photographers?????

OK so when we went up to Utah for Braxten's Baptism we got some family photos taken. We had a little bit of a struggle finding a photographer, I'm not going to lie. My mother in law found a lady who is well known for wedding photography and so forth. At a wedding there are quite a bit of family photo shoots so I didn't think that she could be that BAD!!!!!! I can't get over how frustrated I am at how bad the pictures turned out. Some are blurry, some the kids aren't smiling or looking at the camera, some we aren't holding the baby right so you can't see her, others are too far away, they just didn't turn out well at all. So we paid a good amount of money for pictures and to get the CD of the photo shoot, not $100, not even $200 We paid $300 dollars for pictures that weren't photo shopped and look awful. This lady was the one looking through the camera, so when she saw that both my boys weren't smiling for any of the photos, why didn't she say anything??????? When my sister in law was holding her baby and you couldn't see her face the way she was holding her, why didn't the photographer say anything?????? She took our pictures and our money and then didn't get our CD to us until about 3 1/2 to almost 4 weeks later, because she had to go out of town. I'm sorry being a business owner, you have to finish up your work before you leave or take it with you. What the heck do I do now???? Is it bad to complain??? Is it possible to get our money back?? Or at least some of it?? If she would have taken the photos of us and we paid the cheaper price and had to buy them from her, I don't know that I would've bought any!! That's how bad they are!

I Belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints............

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go to Utah for Braxten's Baptism. I can't express how proud I am of him and how blessed we are to have him in our family. He truly loves the gospel and the missionaries who have been there to teach him the gospel. I glad that he has a mother who wants nothing but the best for her kids and knows that him getting baptized is the right choice and helped Braxten make one of the most important decisions of his life. I'm so glad that he has loving grandparents who have always been there to teach him the gospel and take him to church as he has grown and we haven't been able to be there. Braxten made the decision to get baptized, but a few years ago Justin made a great choice to straighten out his life. That's how we meet, got married in the temple, so he could give his son a dad who could teach him how to live righteously. Nine years ago most people never would have thought that Justin would be baptizing his son, but with the help of the missionaries, a little boys love for his Savior, and a mom who kept inviting over the missionaries for dinner, fulfilled a lot of dreams and hopes for a lot of people. I'm so proud of both my boys!!!!!!!!

I love that the missionaries were able to teach him so much, after he got confirmed at church a person who can not be named, did something not really reverent in the chapel and we were all giving him a hard time. Braxten proceeded to tell him about the three kingdoms of heaven and how he needed to choose which one he wanted to go, he neede to have better behavior or else!!! We were cracking up how Braxten was giving him a mini lesson on being reverent, we all look at him like "Wow" we were really impressed that he know so much, and he looked at us, shrugs his shoulders, and says, "What? I have missionaries" It was so funny. Now lets just hope he can remember his teaching when he is sitting in class and wants to be bad for his teacher!!!!!!

Braxten and Sam

Braxten's Missionaries

The Whole Family

Braxten asked Ryan to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. To sum it up his visual ad was two soda cans. One full and one empty. We are the empty can before we are baptized and receive the Holy Ghost, which as you can see is easily crushed. Though the can that is full and has received the Holy Ghost is much harder to crush, actually almost impossible. Therefore it leaves us "Uncrushable" I loved his talk and it is so true, if we listen to the still small voice and receive the Holy Ghost we are UNCRUSHABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a great weekend and I'm so glad that we were able to be there and I'm so proud of Braxten for making such a great decision in his life. Love ya B!!!!

Bucky!!!

Ok guys I have no idea who this is, but who can resist the excitement in this little guys face!!!!
I can't believe how old he looks in this picture!!!! Braxten loves skateboarding and bmx. He knows everything that there is to know about the two sports. I know absolutely nothing, I guess I need to start doing some research to learn more about his love and interest. Whenever he plays Tony Hawk on the XBOX, he is always so excited when he learns a new trick and wants to show off by beating his uncle Ryan and his dad at the game. I would wake up most mornings to the sound of the skateboard hitting the ground in the video.

He won this skateboard. All he talked about this summer was getting a new skateboard. I remember I walking into the skate shop and he starts rattling all these words off to his father that was like a whole different language. Man I miss this guy, we had a really hard summer, the two of us, I wasn't me and I was hard on him, I miss him a lot. He is my sugar buddy in this house, Justin doesn't like most sweet thing, and that's all Braxten eats so he is also nice to have around. Love ya B' can't wait to some see ya and I'm so glad that you are getting baptized.

Mr. Personality

My nephew Dylan has gotten quite the personality lately. He cracks me up.
This is him at Chuck E Cheese drinking his drink, after showing him the picture of what he look like drinking he thought it was pretty funny.

I was laughing so hard at him doing this to his mom. I love it when she tried to let him kiss her check, for fear of him biting her lips, and he was like no way where's your lips.

He has his eye on something..............

Yep that's right his eyes glaze over when the tools come out. He loves to play with tools and he knows what to do with them too. He will take the screw driver and look for a screw or something under a chair and start turning it like he is fixing it.

He is quite that little boater. If you look closely you can see that his cute hat is a dog and his little ears stick up. Isn't that so cute!!! He loves to walk around and touch all the buttons, when we put him out on the tub, it puts him to sleep...................

Just like his father.

New Addition!

I have so much blogging to do that some of these next post are just going to be pretty random, but I want to have things documented some what, so Introducing................ London Marie Jacobs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and my sis in law Kathy)
My brother and his wife make some of the cutest babies ever. When their son Jack was born and they had their third gorgeous baby Justin and I made a deal that the next baby that they had we would buy it from them. Kathy agreed, because she was pretty sure that they would not be having anymore babies. When we found out that they were surprised with one more, we called dibs, but Kathy said no way!!!! It's such a bummer because she is the sweetest baby, even if she cries every time that I hold her I still think that she is the cutest baby.

K.N.O.T.B

That's right floks, New Kids On the Block!!!!!! I went to the concert this past weekend with my good friends Heather and Amie!! It was so much fun!!!!! It was loud and crazy, and I couldn't hear the next day from all the screaming, but it was a great time! Thanks ladies for the invite and I'm glad that I went.

I'm so bummed because I don't have a full view of my whole outfit, but I went all out. Leggings, long shirt with the belt and of course the hair, it's all about the hair. Amie has an orignal shirt from 1990, from the first concert she went to, back in the day.

Since not all of you got to go, here is a little bit of what you missed out on. Turn up the volume it's a little hard to hear. Jordan is still hot, and I will always be his girl!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6w_opKRJXs

I have had a heck of a time trying to post this so I hope it works for you. This concert was so much fun because it reminded me of easier days, childhood, clipping pictures of hot guys.

Everyone Poops!!!!!!!!! I do, you do, your mother does and even grandma. It's gonna happen, if you like food, than your gonna POOP. I think it's funny, I hate farting, but poop is funny. Most likly it's something you laugh and talk about, but not something you have to witness, except changing those Nastey diapers, but I rarly do that. That's why I hate farting because nobody wins with a fart, everyone is grossed out and ends up gaging. Anyways, my mother in law sent me this little guide for pooping in public. This my be TMI, but I have no fear of pooping in public, Justin on the hand will look at me and say we need to leave NOW!! I laughed so hard at some of these, so beware of the rules and remember to respect the rules!!!!!!!!!!
How to Poop at Work

We've all been there but don't like to admit it... We've all kicked back in our cubicles and suddenly felt something brewing down below. As much as we try to convince ourselves otherwise, the *WORK POOP* is inevitable. For those who hate pooping at work, following is the Survival Guide for taking a dump at work.

*CROP DUSTING* When farting, you walk really fast around the office so the smell is not in your area and everyone else gets a whiff, but doesn't know where it came from. Be careful when you do this. Do not stop until the full fart has been expelled. Walk an extra 30 feet to make sure the smell has left your pants.

*FLY BY* The act of scouting out a bathroom before pooping. Walk in and check for other poopers. If there are others in the bathroom, leave and come back again. Be careful not to become a *FREQUENT FLYER*. People may become suspicious if they catch you constantly going into the bathroom.

*ESCAPEE* A fart that slips out while taking a pee or forcing a poop in a stall. This is usually accompanied by a sudden wave of embarrassment.> If you release an escapee, do not acknowledge it. Pretend it did not happen. If you are a man and are standing next to the farter in the urinal, pretend you did not hear it. No one likes an escapee. It is uncomfortable for all involved. Making a joke or laughing makes both parties feel uneasy.

*JAILBREAK* When forcing a poop, several farts slip out at a machine gun pace. This is usually a side effect of diarrhea or a hangover. If this should happen, do not panic. Remain in the stall until everyone has left the bathroom to spare everyone the awkwardness of what just occurred.

*COURTESY FLUSH* The act of flushing the toilet the instant the poop hits the water. This reduces the amount of air time the poop has to stink up the bathroom. This can help you avoid being caught doing the *WALK OF SHAME*.

*WALK OF SHAME* Walking from the stall, to the sink, to the door after you have just stunk up the bath room. This can be a very uncomfortable moment if someone walks in and busts you. As with farts, it is best to pretend that the smell does not exist. Can be avoided with the use of the *COURTESY FLUSH*.

*OUT OF THE CLOSET POOPER* A colleague who poops at work and is Doggone proud of it. You will often see an Out Of The Closet Pooper enter the bathroom with a newspaper or magazine under their arm. Always look around the office for the Out Of The Closet Pooper before entering the bathroom (ahem, Charles)

*SAFE HAVENS* A seldom used bathroom somewhere in the building where you can least expect visitors. Try floors that are predominantly of the opposite sex. This will reduce the odds of a pooper of your sex entering the bathroom.

*TURD BURGLAR* Someone who does not realize that you are in the stall and tries to force the door open. This is one of the most shocking and vulnerable moments that can occur when taking a poop at work. If this occurs, remain in the stall until the *Turd Burglar* leaves. This way you will avoid all uncomfortable eye contact.

*Spying TURD BURGLAR* Even worse than the typical turd burglar is the spying turd burglar. You know, the one who peers at you through space in the stall. Yes, the door is locked and yes, there really is someone in here.

*CAMO-COUGH* A phony cough that alerts all new entrants into the bathroom that you are in a stall. This can be used to cover-up a *WATERMELON*, or to alert potential *TURD BURGLAR*. Very effective when used in conjunction with a *SHIRLEY TEMPLE*.

*SHIRLEY TEMPLE* A subtle toe-tapping that is used to alert potential *TURD BURGLARS*that you are occupying a stall. This will remove all doubt that the stall is occupied. If you hear a *SHIRLEY TEMPLE*, leave the bathroom immediately so the pooper can poop in peace.

*WATERMELON* A poop that creates a loud splash when hitting the toilet water. This is also an embarrassing incident. If you feel a Watermelon coming on, create a diversion. See *CAMO-COUGH*.

SOME VARIETIES OF POOP YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF:

*The King Poop* This kind is the kind of poop that killed Elvis. It doesn't come until you're all sweaty, trembling and purple from straining so hard.

* Bali Belly Poop* You poop so much you lose 5 lbs.

*Cement Block* You wish you'd gotten a spinal block before you poop.

*Cork Poop* Even after the third flush, it's still floating in there. How do I get rid of it? This poop usually happens at someone else's house. (this is why Justin Hates pooping in public never falls the toilet gets cloged)

*The Bungee Poop* The kind of poop that just hangs off your rear before it falls into the water.

*The Crippler* The kind of poop where you have to sit on the toilet so long your legs go numb from the waist down.

*The Chitty Bang* The kind of poop that hits you when you're trapped in your car in a traffic jam.

*The Party Pooper* The giant poop you take at a party. And when you flush the toilet, you watch in horror as the water starts to rise...

The Single Life

Anther great summer has come and gone with Braxten. We had our good times, and the bad times, but mostly good times. I'm not going to lie Braxten and I went toe to toe a few times, I had a very hard summer this year. Another year older means another year wiser and he knows how to play the system and he knows what's going on around him. A lot has gone on in our little house that has made me not the nicest person to be around and poor Braxten had to be here for that. With all that said our house has been very quiet and boring this past week with him gone, we miss him already and can't wait for him to come back. His last night in Texas is a tradition to go to Red Robin, so we went and meet up with all Justin's side of the family for dinner.
This is his best buddy Haley. they get along so great and always have the best time together.
This is Haley's brother Cash, and mom Christine we had a great time with their family this summer. We went to two Home Depot morning projects with them and had a fun time.
Then there is Olivia, she absolutely adores Braxten anything he can do she does right beside him. We had a hard time with there age difference, but Braxten I think loved the attention and her at the same time.

Here are all the kids after their bellies were full, video games were played and everyone had a good time.
Braxten and Haley had a ton of quarters and instead of playing the video games they wanted all the trinkets out of the vending machine thing. I got a beautiful ruby ring that was given to me, thanks B!!! Sweet tat!!! Look at the cool kid in the back ground, Tanner cracks us up.
After dinner we went bowling. It was a lot of fun. Braxten is a pretty good bowler, I'm so proud of him. He did a great job helping out Olivia too!!!
Olivia LOVED bowling she was so freaking funny. After each turn she would come back to her mom and sign the word more because she wasn't done yet. She did really well waiting for her turn, it was cute to watch. It was fun to watch Braxten helping her. He would carry her ball up to the alley and then Ryan would help her push it down the lane.
Despite all their efforts I BEAT them all!!!! I have never done so well before, way to go me!!!

My Buddy!

Braxten has lots of friends when he comes to town, and sometimes it's hard to get all of our friends in to play with. Since he isn't here that long, 6 weeks is not long enough just so you know, we like to have lots of family time, so friends tend to take the back burner. One of B's good friends here is Colton, we always find time to play with him and it's always a good time. Colton came over to play for the day and we had a good time. We went over to my sisters house to swim, and the boys came up with some fun new things to do in the pool, it's always fun visiting someone Else's pool, new toys and different places to jump in the pool.
First up snorkeling. Braxten loved this so much that we went and bought him his own set and he loved it so much. He wasn't caught in the pool without after that.
Dylan had this in his mouth to show us how it is done, but wouldn't put it back in for the picture. He is so cute and getting so much personality I love being around him. Cute Cute Cute!!!!!
Next on the list, boat building. Rub a tub tub two boys in the tub!!!! They took the lid off the sand box and made a boat. Very creative, but..................
one false move and you sink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't end the day without a little surfing and turtle races!!!!!!!!!! Kids can be so creative. I tried the boat and it didn't work so well for me though, I think that you get the idea.

Family Vacation!!!!

This year we didn't go far but we had a lot of fun!!!! No sharks bits or plane rides, but we did go play with the animals of the sea!!! We traveled town south to SEA WORLD. We found a really great hotel that sounded so much fun to go to it had a lazy river and we could roast smores at night, and it was cheap, but we waited to long to book it and got stuck at the La Quinta Inn. Not the Hilton, but it was good and a nice place to rest our heads at night after a long day outside. The first day we went to Sea World with Ryan, Lindsey, and Livy, it was hot hot hot, but the shows were fun and it was fun to see how much the kids likes it. I think that Justin was surprised at how cool it really was.

The first day we did all the shows. We watched the sea lions, shamu, the water ski team of course, and the dolphins. We had to take a break in the middle of the day and float the lazy river in the water park for a while because it was ridiculously hot. If we were smart we would have sat in the splash zones, but we didn't because we didn't want to scare Liv.

The next day Ryan, Linds and Liv didn't come, but we went back to Sea World. The first thing that we did was go to Shamu and sat front row of the splash zone. That water is 50 degrees and felt like heaven on that hot day. We felt cool most of the day, granted it was still hot, but it was much better than the first day. That was the only show that we saw that day, we rode some roller coasters, and we went to all the feedings.
Braxten doesn't like trying new things, he wasn't excited to try this new ride, in fact he was crying all the way up, but we did it and he loved it. We rode it twice in fact!!!! Go braxten way to try new things!!!!!!!!!

Watching them feed the alligators was crazy!!!! They wouldn't feed the alligators unless they were in the water, if they came up on the shore there was a guy there to push them back in while the other two people would feed them whole chickens.

After the alligators we went to feed the dolphins.

The dolphins were crazy, two of them were fighting over a fish that Braxten was holding, was freaky, but nothing happened.

Next it was off to the sharks. They weren't feeding them that day, but it was still cool to look at them. Braxten took the camera and got a sweet picture.

They were however feeding the sting rays and fish.

You can't end a trip to San Antonio without going to the Alamo, although Braxten hasn't had any Texas history so he didn't know what it was, but he still wanted a souvenir. Funny kid!!!!

Jonas Bros

So the last day that my friends were in town, so were the Jonas Brothers. Justin asked Braxten if he wanted to go and to our surprise he said yes. So we found some cheap tickets and decided to make the journey. They were performing at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium and Justin really wanted to check it out and see if there really was any bad sits or not. I got a few pictures before the camera died so we didn't get any of the Jonas Brothers, oh well.
Tour bus that they have everyone sign. For some reason Braxten didn't sign it, but at least we got his picture with it right???
The floor with all the screaming girls on it. They were SOOOOOOO loud it was crazy.
Jourdan Sparks on the big screen it was like we were sitting in the front row.
Braxten enjoying the concert. It was his first concert ever and he thought that it was the coolest thing ever. He was a little nerves at first because it looked like only girls were there, but some other boys ended up sitting next to us so he was cool again.

Rick's Semi Reunion

So last week a couple of my girlfriends from college came in town to visit. Yes I did go to school for a year, I got my degree in socializing. It was so much fun to see my girls and just be able to hang out and talk. The first night that they all got there, we had a BBQ and swam. My friend Heather came up from Houston, Melissa came from Utah and Jenni came from Utah/Houston she just moved back. These are the girls who stayed at my house, another couple of girls came for the BBQ but weren't able to join us for anything else. It was so much fun to be around everyone to see some of the girls being moms was so cool to see what we all have become and how much we have grown.

The crew all lubing up with sun screen. Although it didn't work for Melissa and Jenni they both got fried the first day so day two wasn't as great.
Chilling with the baby out on the tube showing Brooke a good time who we do things in Dallas.
Me and Jenni!
Looks simple and relaxing right????
Wrong Justin showed us no mercy it was so much fun!!! Zoom in and look at our faces they are hilarious.
Justin had us in some really good whips and we flew off a couple of times, but for the most part it was so much fun!!! The worst injury was Jenni and Melissa's sunburns!
I had such a good time with the girls and I can't wait to do it again. I hope that next time everyone can come and join in on the fun!!
